After long and successful careers in commercial real estate, Emilio Amendola and Andy Graiser co-founded A&G Real Estate Partners in 2012. Previously, in 1992, they founded and then later sold DJM Realty.

Emilio has a stellar reputation in the extended landlord community and is known for his ability to creatively solve highly complex problems in a manner respectful to all parties involved. 

Considered a real estate industry thought leader, his key areas of expertise include real estate dispositions, lease restructurings, facilitating growth opportunities, valuations, and acquisitions.  

With decades of experience, Emilio has worked with more than 550 clients and has generated successful outcomes for individual asset and portfolio sales, as well as lease mitigation projects, valued at more than $6B.

While Emilio has successfully represented many of the nation’s leading retail, restaurant, and education brands, recently, the clients he is most closely associated with include Fashion Bug, Dressbarn, Orchard Supply Hardware, Sports Authority, Toys”R”Us, ITT Educational Services, The College of New Rochelle, Sbarro, and CompUSA. 

Emilio is highly visible and involved with many key industry groups, including the International Council of Shopping Centers, the National Retail Federation, The City University of New York, and the Commercial Finance Association.

His philanthropy includes the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Heart Association, and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. 

Based in New York, when not maximizing value for his clients, Emilio can be found fishing, golfing, or enjoying a fine wine.

Jon joined A&G in 2013.

With decades of real estate experience, Jon has developed complex real estate strategies and has managed lease disposition and occupancy costs reduction projects for dozens of the nation’s leading retailers.  

Prior to joining A&G, for nearly two decades, Jon provided strategic leadership for Charming Shoppes’ real estate and store development teams, successfully building one of the strongest real estate teams in the country. Reporting directly to the CEO, he managed growth from 1,000 to 2,500 stores nationwide and led the team through multiple acquisitions of leading store chains, including Modern Women, Catherines Stores, Casual Corner Annex, and Lane Bryant.

Jon has also been responsible for multiple store designs, leading the process from the rollout of prototype designs, working with outside design firms, and integrating design into the total cost of designing, building, and maintaining stores. 

Clients of note include RadioShack, rue21, Tilly’s, Mattress Firm, Learning Care Group, Charming Charlie, and Charlotte Russe.

Based in New York, Jon is an avid Eagles fan and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and Board Member and VP of Education at Temple Sinai.

Michael joined A&G in 2012.

With decades of real estate experience, Michael’s key areas of expertise include creative deal making, facilitating M&A transactions, and advising on retail turnarounds where real estate and renegotiating leases are crucial to a company's success.

Over the course of his career, Michael has achieved hundreds of millions of dollars in savings for his clients and has led the restructuring efforts and real estate (lease and fee-owned) sales, in and out of court, for some of the largest, most well-known retailers in the country, including Sears Holdings, Bon-Ton, BCBG, Gordmans, Golfsmith, Sports Authority, Gottschalks, Linens ’n Things, and Sharper Image. 

Clients of note at A&G include Dollar Tree, Aldo, Stage Stores, and others, including several PE firms. 

Prior to joining A&G, Michael was a Senior Managing Director at DJM Realty for six years. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Hilco Real Estate. 

Based in Chicago, Michael is the President and Founder of Yhim (pronounced why him), a not-for-profit organization that raises funds for cancer research year-round while focusing its efforts around Father’s Day weekend. He is also a 20-year volunteer and Wish Granter for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Peter joined A&G in 2012.

Over the course of his career, Peter has been the client manager with publicly traded and privately held companies and has mitigated more than $500MM in leasehold savings. He also advised and was a member of the real estate committees for Pier 1 Imports and The Vitamin Shoppe over multiple years.

Based in Los Angeles, Peter is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Retail Federation. He is also the Chairman of the Young Presidents’ Organization Retail Network Worldwide, a term running through 2021.

Joe joined A&G in 2012.

With more than two decades of experience, Joe’s key areas of expertise include marketing, disposition, restructuring, and mitigation of leased and fee-owned real estate both in and out of bankruptcy.

Joe has sold more than 250 owned retail properties, five warehouses and distribution centers, and has mitigated over 3,000 leases, saving clients more than $750MM of lease liability.

Clients of note include Kmart, Borders Books, Linens ’n Things, Heilig-Meyers, Blockbuster, Winn-Dixie, Circuit City, Kaplan Financial Education, Charming Shoppes, Golfsmith, Sports Authority, Modell’s Sporting Goods, rue21, Charming Charlie, Uno de 50, A&P Supermarkets, and RadioShack.

Prior to joining A&G, Joe was Managing Director at DJM Realty for 11 years, and prior to that, a leasing executive with a New York City developer who owned more than 200 shopping centers across the country.  

Joe is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Turnaround Management Association, and an original member of the ICSC New York Next Generation Committee.

Based in New York, Joe is a two-time winner of the CoStar Power Broker Awards.

Mike joined A&G in 2013. 

With decades of real estate experience, Mike’s key area of expertise is real estate advisory services, where he has achieved well over $1B in sales.

Mike is the former President of the Turnaround Management Association (Long Island Chapter) and a Member of the Sachem Central School District Board of Education.

Based in New York, Mike has served as a Deacon at his local church and has coached the football, wrestling, and lacrosse youth leagues in his community.

Joseph joined A&G in 2016.

With decades of real estate experience, Joseph’s key areas of expertise include business strategy, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate development and management.

Over the course of his career, Joseph has successfully deployed in excess of $4B in store capital, including $1.1B in new store development, has acted as a key leader in mergers and acquisitions valued at more than $21B, and has managed and optimized real estate portfolios in excess of 130MM square feet.
Clients of note include Pier 1 Imports, Dressbarn, and Rite Aid.

Prior to joining A&G, Joseph was Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Development for Southeastern Grocers, LLC, an $11B privately owned company with 800 grocery retail locations in the southeastern U.S. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at SuperValu, Inc., and its predecessor companies, where as Group Vice President of Real Estate he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s 90MM square foot retail, office, and warehouse portfolio.  

Joseph is a member of Lambda Alpha International Land Economics Society and the International Council of Shopping Centers, where he is a regularly featured speaker. In addition, he is a real estate finance lecturer at the University of Illinois.

Based in Oak Brook, IL, Joseph is an avid golfer who enjoys spending summers on the lake with family and friends.

Jim joined A&G in 2018.

With more than four decades of real estate experience, Jim’s key areas of expertise include designing and implementing real estate plans, directing the exit process for leased and fee-owned properties, retail growth initiatives, and property divestiture negotiations. 

Over the course of his career, Jim has negotiated hundreds of property divestitures and restructurings, has recovered millions of dollars of overpayments, overbillings, and other costs for clients, and has participated in several multi-million- and billion-dollar transactions.  

Prior to Joining A&G, Jim was with Sears Holdings for 36 years, where he rose to Vice President and COO of Sears Holdings’ Real Estate Business. He was also Senior Vice President of Real Estate for Ashley Furniture.

For years, Jim was a member of the AICPA, the National Retail Federation, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. 

Based in Chicago, Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed auctioneer.
